The 3-Across support harness must always be used with the vehicle seat belt. The vehicle seat belt is simply used on top of the harness once the wearer is secured. The 3-Across support harness is secured on a loop system directly to the vehicle seat. The harness offers support and restraint allowing a 3rd occupant to travel in the centre position where a children's car seat will not fit.

Complete with a grip mat the system keeps the wearer supported, secure and comfortable when travelling. The 3-Across support harness can be installed in a wide range of vehicles and the two outer child car seats can remain in position and secured with Isofix. The wearer will also have access to the vehicle seat belt buckle and allow the vehicle seat belt to be easily clicked in, undone and retracted. Once the harness is correctly installed and positioned, the wearer simply secures themselves (similar to how a 5-point car seat harness is used) and places the vehicle seat belt into position over the harness. The 3-Across support harness is supplied with a 3rd seat belt pad/neck cushion and an emergency cutter/hammer to keep in the vehicle.

The 3-Across support harness is a secondary system to the vehicle seat belt which is the main factor in restraint and safety. It is ideal for older and taller children who would normally sit unaided. The 3-Across support harness is simple to use and can be easily adjusted as your child grows. The 3-Across harness can also be adapted into certain highjack booster car seats where extra support and restraint are required.

The 3-Across support harness can also be considered if your vehicle centre seat is not approved for a children's car seat. Always check the vehicle manual for approved seating positions for children's restraints. Wherever possible and practical, we recommend children remain in child restraints for as long as possible.
