Isofix & Support Leg Installation
The Britax-Romer Dualfix 2R is a 360 swivel car seat that is fantastic value. Without the newborn insert it is suitable from approx. 3months to 4years. The seat can be used rear facing only, or it can be used forward facing. Britax-Romer quality. Britax-Romer safety.
Anti-Rebound / Brace Bar.
The Dualfix 2R is equipped with an anti-rebound / brace bar that sits tight against your vehicle seat when fitted. The purpose of this really important safety feature is that it prevents rotation and gives the whole seat unit greater stability when travelling.
Isofix & Locking Support Leg.
Installed on isofix, the complete seat unit is secure and fits tight. Its adjustable support leg easily locks into place when positioned on the vehicle floor. Once locked into place the isofix and support leg combine safety and stability for the whole seat unit.
Separate easy rotate button and recline feature.
The rotation button of the 360 is easy to access and use. It is also separate from the recline feature. When both are operated separately, it makes it less likely for the seat to develop excess wear and tear.
Easy adjust headrest and smooth 5-point harness.
The Britax-Romer integrated 5-point harness is smooth operating and easy to 'click' together enabling you to pull the cord adjuster tight and secure your child. As your child grows the head support and harness adjust together. No complicated adjusting is required. Simply adjust the head support from the top of the seat and the harness adjusts also.
The 2R shell has deep sides to keep a child secure and comfortable within the seat. In the event of a collision your child will be well protected.
Isofix Pivot Link system.
Britax-Romer's isofix system is unique and is on a 'pivot link'. This safety feature is designed for use when forward facing. In the event of a frontal collision, the isofix system will force the restraint downwards into the vehicle seat, then forwards. This safety feature spreads forces and energy downwards first.
The Britax Dualfix 2R has a 360 rotation feature and can be used rearward and forward facing. The seat can be turned towards the vehicle door for installing your child safely and securely using its integrated 5-point harness. You simply spin the seat into its rearward or forward facing position and it locks in place.
The Britax Dualfix 2R can be used from birth to 18kg as an extended rearward facing child seat. From 9kg, the direction of the seat can be used forward facing if required. The change in direction from its side position to rearward, or forward facing is easily done at the push of a button. The headrest and harness are also adjusted with ease as your child grows. The seat offers multi-recline positions for comfort, particularly good if journeys send your child to sleep.
Fitted using isofix and the height adjustable support leg, your child is secured in the integrated 5-point harness that features soft neoprene chest pads. The Britax Dualfix 2R has deep side wings as well as a shaped headrest, delivering optimised safety and comfort for your child.
The Britax 'Pivot Link Isofix System' firstly enables forces to be pushed downward into the vehicle seating in the event of a collision, further reducing the risk of head and neck injury when positioned forward facing.
Please note: the use of the Britax Dualfix 2R from birth requires the Britax Newborn Insert sold separately. Using the car seat without the newborn insert, the guideline is from 3months onwards.
